Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders Symposium 2018!

Speakers Will Include:

Susan Conners, M.Ed. is an internationally sought-after speaker, teacher, trainer and author of “The Tourette Syndrome/OCD Checklist: A Practical Reference for Educators and Parents” on the education of children with Tourette Syndrome (TS), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and other related neurological disorders. She has presented workshops in 48 of the 50 US states, Canada, Puerto Rico, Spain, Norway and Northern Ireland.

Dr. Peak: In 2006 Dr Peake was awarded a Certificate of Sub-Speciality Training (CSST) in Paediatric Neurology following completion of the National Training Grid scheme in Paediatric Neurology. Dr Peake was appointed as a Paediatric Neurology Consultant in Birmingham Children’s Hospital in 2006 and since 2007 holds a position as a Paediatric Neurology Consultant in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC) Belfast. Dr Peake publishes in scientific journals and present at national and international meetings.

Damian Friel: An adult with Tourette Syndrome and Mental Health Nurse, Damian has been a passionate advocate for those with Tourette Syndrome, appearing on numerous news, television and documentary programs, runs a Vlog on TS as well as Co-Hosting the MenTalk Health podcast where he continues to advocate for others and challenges mental health stigma.

Connor Harrington: This young adult with TS has spoken internationally about living–and thriving!–with Tourette Syndrome and all that this disorder entails. He’s also spent countless hours meeting with Congressmen, Senators, Educators, Clinicians and more in the pursuit of further research, awareness and acceptance for those with Tourette Syndrome.

Tanya Sockol: An international advocate for those whose lives are affected by Tourette Syndrome, CTD and their associated conditions, she regularly gives lectures on TS to Educators, Clinicians, Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue, Families and Businesses and authors a blog about her experiences.
